SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

With the Super Bowl less than a week away we thought it was a good time to start planning the menu for the game. Though the Ravens are not in it this year, we will still be watching and what better way to watch than with some delicious game day snacks.

Here is a look at the menu items we have put together....

Regular pizza can get a little boring that's why we are loving this pizza dip. It is a  layered, hot cheesy dip that brings together all of the great flavors of pizza.

Add a twist to everyday quesadillas with barbecue sauce and sweet and spicy mango salsa.

Forget about a traditional corn dog. This recipe features a hot dog wrapped in a homemade corn muffin. Perfect finger food if you ask us!

You can't forget the guacamole. It is a football staple food.

You can never go wrong with potato skins. This recipe features potato skins filled spicy buffalo chicken and tangy melted blue cheese.

No game day is complete without dessert. How fun are these football whoopie pies?

FAVORITE PARTY DECOR: MENU CARDS

It is no surprise that here at Savvy Selebrations we love to plan an event. From the logistics, to the organizing, to executing it, we love it all. But there is one part we love the most and that is the details. It's the small details that make the event. That is why we wanted to start a series to share our favorite party decor.

This month it's menu cards. Menu cards are a great assistance for a sit down dinner and add some extra creativity to your place settings. There are so many different ways to style menu cards too.

Here is a look at some of our favorites!

Rather than having individual menu cards at each place setting you can have one sign in the center of each table or a large menu sign as guests walk into the reception.

GIRLS NIGHT IN PARTY INSPIRATION

It’s wintertime and with the streak of extreme cold weather that has been hitting us lately, we like the idea of inviting some friends over and having a fun party indoors. A Girls Night In casual party can be a great way to cut loose, share some laughs, eat great food and let off steam. We’re excited to reveal one of our favorite ways to enjoy a girls' night in.
Now’s the perfect time to light some candles, pop the popcorn, put on your cozy PJs and invite your girlfriends over. Whether it’s watching a Downton Abbey or a Scandal marathon on Netflicks or plan a movie marathon with flicks like "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" ,"The Devil Wears Prada", "What Women Want" "Forces of Nature" or “Bridesmaids".

MENU IDEAS
The popcorn: You can pop it before the party or for added flair you can have a popcorn machine at your party for freshly popped popcorn. The mix-ins, toppings & flavored popcorn: This is what takes basic popcorn and kicks it up a notch! Have mix-ins on hand from savory, sweet or salty. Dell Cove Spice Co.® specializes in handmade popcorn seasonings that sound intriguing. You can also have garlic powder, parmesan cheese, specialty oils, dried cranberries, gummy bears, sprinkles, marshmallows, chocolate covered pretzels or cinnamon on hand as toppings.

INTRODUCING THE PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR

Every year Pantone names a color of the year. Drum roll please....

The color of the year for 2014 is the captivating, magical, and enchanting Radiant Orchid. It's the perfect combination of fuchsia, purple, and pink. It's a color that emanates great joy, love and health, says Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of Pantone.
We are seeing this color pop up everywhere, especially in weddings. So we have decided to share how you can incorporate this gorgeous color into your wedding.

Radiant Orchid adds just the right amount of color to any centerpiece, creating the perfect magical feel for your big day.
Forget the traditional all white cake, go for a more modern appeal by incorporating color into your wedding cake.

It looks great paired with green and blue to create a colorful bouquet.
However you chose to incorporate this color it is sure to be beautiful!
