Happy Wednesday everyone! We are linking up with The Vintage Apple for our usual Pinterest Wednesday. When it comes to springtime it's hard not to think about bright colors and pretty flowers and of course maybe a few showers. So this week our pins we are loving are all about springtime.

This colorful centerpiece adds a great touch to any table.

This dress has spring written all over it.

These pink and lavender gifts tags are just too cute to pass up.

What a perfect inspiration board for a spring wedding.

It's Pinteresting Wednesday and the second day of spring! We love this time of year from the budding trees of the trees and the warming of the temperatures to the animals coming out of their winter hideouts, there seems to be a promise of new birth and color in the springtime air. Here are all the lovely things that we are loving this week on Pinterest.

The look of balloon as decor. Playful and eye-catching
black and white balloons add elegance and style.

Cinnamon roll pancakes just seem to scream "EAT ME".
The simple recipe is one that we are dying to try.

DIY party poppers for a baby or bridal shower.

Who doesn't love mojitos?!? A Blue Thai mojito would be a great menu
item for a spring casual event.

Don't forget to check out Vintage Apple for most Pinteresting things and to follow us also.

What better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than with some tasty green recipes. We found some savory and sweet treats that are perfect for any festive occasion.

The first is a spinach quiche and of course in the shape of a lucky four leaf clover. Next we have something perfect for the kids, green macaroni and cheese and to make it even better it uses no artificial food coloring. Lastly a tasty appetizer,  pot of gold salsa and shamrock chips. The salsa is easy to make the chips are made out of a spinach tortilla so healthy too!
Now for the sweets! A stout cupcake topped with vanilla bean buttercream and all put together in an adorable homemade cupcake wrapper. Next up a pot of gold Chex mix that is colorful and so easy to make.  Lastly we have shamrock whoopie pies because really who doesn't love a whoopie pie!

Choosing a wedding cake can become a difficult task but it doesn’t have to be. With more wedding cake styles than ever these days you have plenty to chose from. That is why we wanted to share some wedding cake trends for 2012!

Artistic: Edible art is a great way to show off the theme or colors of your wedding. Hand painted designs add just enough detail to the cake. Also, don’t be afraid to use color.

Fresh Flowers: Fresh flowers on the cake are continuing to be popular. Simple blooms are the way to go.

Ombre: A little bit of ombre technique can go a long way. It is also something your guests may have not seen before.

Monograms: Adding personalization to the wedding is becoming more apparent and what better way to do that than putting a monogram on the cake.

Cupcakes: It is no secret that cupcakes are very popular right now so a big trend is a cupcake wedding cake. Deciding to do this is gives you a lot of options for the display too.

Ruffles: Soft delicate and romantic ruffles add a feminine touch to any wedding cake.

Savvy Selebrations was invited by the store manager of Sur La Table in Annapolis to participate in the first Annapolis Towne Centre Wedding Expo.  We love to participate in small, casual events where we can meet and greet with other vendors as well as potential clients so this opportunity was right up our alley.
The event, sponsored by the Annapolis Towne Centre, was held on Sunday, March 4th. The best thing was that the participating retailers were paired with wedding vendors and we were able to have a casual set-up while guests visited their favorite retailers.

The morning kicked off with participant registration and a champagne brunch at Sur La Table from 10a -11a. We were lucky enough to be stationed at Sur La Table surrounded by the wonderful smell of freshly prepared crepes by DC Taste in a DIY crepe station.
Please excuse the iPhone quality images.

Whole Foods provided food for each store location and Sur La Table set-up a beverage station for attendees. We loved how guests could visit each participating retailer and kill two birds with one stone; a little retail therapy + wedding planning. We were able to mix and mingle with engaged couples as well as network with local vendors. Here are a few pictures captured from the day.

Below are the vendors we spent this lovely Sunday with, all while surrounded by Sur La Table premium cookware, bakeware and kitchen gadgets:
