Every November we start to think about what we want to do for our annual holiday card. It is our way to send a keepsake and 'thank you' to our wonderful clients, vendors, friends as well as staffers for their support throughout the year.

We knew we wanted our holiday card to feel like a gift to the recipient and also wanted it to incorporate our favorites trends - chevron, textured paper and colored twine.  As with all things we do for stationery, we start researching, formulating ideas and then we contact The Round Envelope. We were so happy that they were willing and available to help us again this year.

Our loose idea started with this post from the Hello Lucky blog - a simple card that uses scrap paper and twine arranged to look like gifts. And with everything we do with The Round Envelope, we give them a seed of an idea then Stephanie goes back to her studio to create something great. She created a sparkly metallic panel card that was adorned with a Happy Holiday emblem. Inside the card was a special holiday message, Christmas tree with Savvy Selebrations icons as ornaments as well as 3-dimensional gift boxes wrapped with colored twine  - so clever! The matching envelope and chevron patterned address wrap was a special gift from one of our favorite stationery design studios, The Round Envelope.

With the holidays right around the corner, we wanted to feature some of our Facebook series the "12 Days of Savvy Holidays" on our blog too. Today we are sharing some adult cocktails and kids drinks that are perfect to make for any of your holiday get togethers.

For the adults we have a frozen mudslide and holiday sangria.

Recipe for frozen mudslide:

Ingredients (one serving)

2 oz vodka
2 oz Kahlua coffee liqueur
2 oz Bailey's Irish cream
6 oz vanilla ice cream

Blend alcohol with ice cream. Serve in a frosted hurricane glass and add coffee beans to the top for presentation. Serve immediately.

Recipe for frozen hot chocolate:

Ingredients (one serving)

1/2 cup of whole milk
1 packet of hot chocolate mix
1 cup of ice
whipped cream
chocolate, for shaving on top

Put the milk, hot chocolate mix, and ice in a blender. Blend until pretty smooth, adding more milk as needed. Pour into a glass. Top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate on top. Serve immediately.

With these delicious drinks no one will be going home thirsty!

With Thanksgiving just less than a week away it is officially time to start planning. If anyone is like us we wait all year for this delicous meal. So we make sure to plan the perfect meal from the table setting to the pumpkin pie for dessert. Here is a look at our Thanksgiving Inspiration:

Hosting Thanksgiving does not have to be such a hassle with some of these tips. This table setting is simple yet elegant and adds the right touch of fall to the table. Cooking the perfect turkey is key to Thanksgiving dinner and you can't forget side dishes to go along with it. Southern Living has spectacular side dishes to make like these delicious cornflake, pecan, and marshmallow-topped sweet potato casserole. Of course pumpkin pie is a must for a Thanksgiving dessert and this easy Betty Crocker recipe is great. Enjoy! We hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.
