A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of helping Ayana and Kenny celebrate their first wedding anniversary at the Engineers Club in Baltimore. The Engineers Club offered the perfect scenery to capture every moment to celebrate their special day. With everything we do at Savvy Selebrations, we always start with an inspiration board. The glamorous and gilded interior d├ęcor of the  Engineers Club served as an amazing foundation for our creative process.

We developed a design direction with a navy, gold and coral color scheme and layered the idea of lots of confections and champagne to showcase this special occasion. And with that our twist on the 'Nautical Glam' theme was born!

Here are some of the details of the photo shoot.

Here are some of the fabulous couple shots that were captured.

It was such a treat to be part of their special day. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible!

I'm Danielle the Social Media and Events Intern here at Savvy Selebrations! Though I have been working here for a little while, we thought it would be fun to do a post formally introducing myself. As an intern, I get a behind the scenes look at what goes into building an event planning company like Savvy Selebrations. I also help with managing the social media content and the on-site production of Savvy Selebrations events. It has been such an amazing experience so far!

So here are 20 things about me:

1. I was born and raised in Baltimore
2. And I absolutely love Baltimore
3. I am a senior at Towson University
4. Sometimes I don't even believe I'm actually a senior...it seems like just yesterday I was a little freshman moving into my dorm
5. I am studying Mass Communication with a track in Public Relations
6. Steamed crabs are my favorite food
7. My parents were high school sweethearts and met in St. Croix
8. I have two older brothers
9. I am a tour guide at Towson
10. I can't go underwater because I have a hole in my ear drum
11. I am a huge sports fan (Ravens and Orioles of course!)
12. I have never had a pet before
13. I am definitely addicted to social media
14. I live for the summertime and a sundress
15. I am very organized and enjoy making to do lists
16. My dream job would be to have my own talk show
17. I love bright colors
18. I love the beach and vacation to Stone Harbor, NJ every summer
19. I also work at Lilly Pulitzer
20. I used to always want to become a teacher

Thanks for allowing me to share a little bit about me. I'd love to know if there are topics or new things you'd like for us to share on our blog, on Facebook or on Twitter. You can Tweet us, post a comment to this blog or send us a Facebook message with your thoughts.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

We are sharing another one of our favorite party decor. This time it's vintage furniture! We love the idea of using vintage furniture as props, especially for wedding decor. It adds the perfect touch of rustic to make your special day feel even more unique. The options are endless too with so many different ways to turn turn those old antiques into treasures. From old windows to farm tables to vintage mason jars anything is possible.

We’re honored to announce that our Pink Safari Baby Shower is featured on the Cool Party Favors blog! We were delighted when Joyce wanted to share this event design with her readers.  This labor of love was an awesome collaboration with close friends of the expecting Mom and our Savvy Selebrations team. We developed a safari themed baby shower to help the expecting parents prepare for the "wild" parenting times to come. From the invites to the part decor, the color scheme of pink and grey was carried throughout this co-ed baby shower.

Additional images are also available on Catch My Party as well. Enjoy!

With the Super Bowl less than a week away we thought it was a good time to start planning the menu for the game. Though the Ravens are not in it this year, we will still be watching and what better way to watch than with some delicious game day snacks.

Here is a look at the menu items we have put together....

Regular pizza can get a little boring that's why we are loving this pizza dip. It is a  layered, hot cheesy dip that brings together all of the great flavors of pizza.

Add a twist to everyday quesadillas with barbecue sauce and sweet and spicy mango salsa.

Forget about a traditional corn dog. This recipe features a hot dog wrapped in a homemade corn muffin. Perfect finger food if you ask us!

You can't forget the guacamole. It is a football staple food.

You can never go wrong with potato skins. This recipe features potato skins filled spicy buffalo chicken and tangy melted blue cheese.

No game day is complete without dessert. How fun are these football whoopie pies?

It is no surprise that here at Savvy Selebrations we love to plan an event. From the logistics, to the organizing, to executing it, we love it all. But there is one part we love the most and that is the details. It's the small details that make the event. That is why we wanted to start a series to share our favorite party decor.

This month it's menu cards. Menu cards are a great assistance for a sit down dinner and add some extra creativity to your place settings. There are so many different ways to style menu cards too.

Here is a look at some of our favorites!

Rather than having individual menu cards at each place setting you can have one sign in the center of each table or a large menu sign as guests walk into the reception.
